Here are some organisations that you could support in their mission of wanting to make a difference in the environmental crisis.

Christmas is coming- the time of giving. So why not use this opportunity to do something good for the planet? Even the smallest amounts of money could help make a difference and support important organisations in their mission. However, donating and finding suitable organisations can be quite overwhelming, so here are five suggestions of environmental organisations that you could donate to:

Plastic in the ocean and at beaches are a huge problem. Every year 11 million tonnes of plastic leak into the ocean that endanger marine life and also us humans as we consume the plastics not only through sea food, but also through the water we drink and air we breathe. Therefore, #TeamSeas made it to their mission to clean beaches off from plastics. Every dollar you donate to the organisation will represent one pound less plastics. Therefore, already small donations can help.

Next to plastics, also deforestation is a serious problem. 32% of the world's forests are already destroyed which takes away valuable sources for clean air. In order to act against that, One Tree Planted are supporting tree planting projects with their donations. Equally, to make it possible for everyone to contribute in helping the environment regardless of their financial situation, they plant one tree for every dollar donated. If you want to learn more about deforestation and other ways how you could plant trees without huge financial investments, you can also check out our blog post about this topic.

Even though some countries already have strict sustainability laws, there are still countries that are unregulated and others that simply disregard the rules. EIA uncovers these unlawful practices and actively fights against environmental crimes and abuses.

Fast fashion does not only harm the environment, but it also exploits people and developing countries. Fashion Revolution wants to prevent this and fights for fairer conditions in the fashion industry and for more sustainable practices. If you want to learn more about the harmful impacts of the fashion industry, you could also read more in our latest blog post.

Every year, 36 billion tonnes of carbon dioxide are produced in the whole world. Most of these emissions come from burning fossil fuels. Carbon dioxides are increasing the amount of greenhouse gases and add to the harmful global warming that is endangering the environment, animals, and human lives. Therefore, with your donations 350 wants to achieve the end of the use of fossil fuels and rather promote renewable energy sources.
